Mauterndorf Castle is also open for visitors in the winter. Should you decide you'd like some culture during your winter holiday in Mauterndorf, or you’d like a change from skiing, then the former toll castle dating from the 13th century and one-time summer residence of the archbishops of Salzburg is just waiting to be discovered!

 

A visit to the castle is always a very special experience for children. At the end of the tour, you can enjoy some refreshment in the castle restaurant and look back on a very eventful day!

 

Please note the changes to the opening times and admission charges during the winter months.

Enjoy boundless skiing pleasure and a fantastic experience in the Grosseck-Speiereck adventure mountain. More than 45 km of excellently groomed slopes offer you a wide range of skiing choices every day. These include the 5.5 km long "Talabfahrt" down to the valley towards Mauterndorf, numerous deep snow slopes and much more.
